Blockade at Massey Regional Headquarters
JULIAN, W.Va.—Four concerned citizens are locked arm-to-arm across the road to Massey Energy’s regional headquarters off of Corridor-G in Boone County, W.Va. The four men, ranging in age from 22 to 81 years, are halting all traffic coming into the corporate office in an act of protest against Massey Energy and their use of mountaintop removal (MTR) coal mining.

What I did today...
rented truck.
drove truck to house.
walked up long front yard hill to house carrying two empty five-gallon buckets.
filled five-gallon buckets with bits, pieces, and chunks of plaster.
Walked back down long front yard hill carrying very heavy plaster filled buckets.
dumped plaster into back of truck.
repeat.
repeat.
repeat.
repeat.
repeat.
repeat.
repeat.
repeat.
repeat until over two thousand pounds of plaster fill the back of the truck.
drive truck to landfill.
push over two thousand pounds of plaster out of the truck onto the ground.
Oh and I also got to haul thirty 50 lb. bags of gravel from the truck, up the front yard hill and down to the cellar.
that's another 1500 pounds.
I'm slightly worn out.
